I'm running Alfresco 5.0.2.1 on Windows 7 locally. I'm trying to enable the Alfresco JavaScript debugger from http://localhost:8080/alfresco/s/api/javascript/debugger, and I get a status of 500 error. From the reading I've done on here, I gather than this can happen when Alfresco is started as a service.
I start Alfresco from "manager-windows.exe", which starts Alfresco as a service -- I think (I could be totally wrong here). How can I start Alfresco so that it is not a service? I've seen people mention alf_start.bat in threads that are several years old -- and alf_start.bat doesn't seem to exist in my installation anyways, so I'm assuming that it was removed.
